Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples
Quarter the apples and place them in a large stockpot.
  2. Add Water and Spices
Cover the apples with water, ensuring the water level is at least 2 inches above the fruit. Stir in the sugar, cinnamon, and allspice.
  3. Boil and Simmer
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer covered for 2 hours.
  4. Strain the Mixture
Use a fine-mesh sieve to strain the liquid from the apple mixture, pressing gently to extract as much cider as possible. Discard the solids.
  5. Refine the Cider
Strain the cider again using a cheesecloth-lined sieve for a smoother texture.
  6. Serve and Enjoy
Serve the cider warm for a comforting treat, or refrigerate it to enjoy chilled later.
  1. Tips :
    • Add a splash of orange juice or a few cloves for an extra layer of flavor.
    • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
